Shift Schedules for the June 2008 firing

Please sign up for a minimum of FOUR shifts during the firing. If you can do more, we can use it! I will e-mail you to confirm your time slot.

You should arrive to the site 1/2 hour before your shift begins to watch the rhythm of the kiln. This is very important in order to maintain the cycle of stoking. Please be on time!!

Here is the list of participants as of September15th. If you aren't on the list, and you think you should be, call me!

Wood Preparation Sign Ups

Please sign up for one work day to help with preparing the wood for the firing. For the UMass Anagama Club, you will need to have more than one student sign up for the session.

Please remember that these work sessions are mandatory for participating in firing of the kiln. Which means, if you don't show up, you're not in the firing.

Shift Sign Up

Sign up by e-mailing me the DAY AND TIMES of the shifts that you'd like. When I receive your shift request, I will post everyone's name on the schedule below. I check e-mail daily, so hopefully we'll be close to real time feedback. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!!

Because experienced wood-firers need to be on each shift, I may not be able to give everyone their first choice of time slots. I'll do everything I can to accommodate schedules.
